Terms of use

These terms cover your use of carrierkyc.com, including the free tools, guides, glossary, comparisons, and the Freight Identity Risk Report. By using the site you agree to them. Pilot customers sign a separate agreement.

Public data has limits

The carrier check and the report use public FMCSA data. That data can be late, incomplete, or wrong, and some of it (the legacy licensing and insurance files) stopped updating on May 14, 2026. A clean result is not a verification of a carrier, of the person you're dealing with, or of a bank account. Make your own decisions and confirm anything important at the source.

Not legal or financial advice

Guides, templates (including the NOA and release letter generator), and calculators are general information. They aren't legal, tax, or financial advice, and using them doesn't create a client relationship. Have counsel review documents before you rely on them.

Acceptable use

  • Don't scrape, bulk-query, or automate the carrier check, or try to get around its rate limits or bot protection.
  • Don't use the site to harass, defame, or discriminate against any carrier or person.
  • Don't submit someone else's information without their permission.

Using our content

You're welcome to quote and link to our guides with attribution. The report's data is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license: reuse it with credit to CarrierKYC and a link to the report. The site's design, code, and brand remain ours.

Other companies' names

Companies named in comparisons and guides are trademarks of their owners. We aren't affiliated with them or with FMCSA or USDOT. Comparison facts carry the date we last checked them; tell us through the contact form if something has changed.

No warranty; limit of liability

The site and free tools are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, CarrierKYC isn't liable for losses arising from your use of the site, including decisions to fund, pay, or decline a carrier.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
