This policy covers the CarrierKYC website at carrierkyc.com. It's written to be read. The short version: we collect what you choose to send us, use it to reply and to run the site, and never sell it.
What we collect
- What you submit. Pilot requests, contact messages, report subscriptions, and “email me a copy” requests: your name, email, company, role, phone (optional), and anything you type in a message.
- How you found us. When you arrive from a link with campaign tags, or from another site, we store the first-touch source (UTM tags, referring site, landing page) in your browser's local storage and a first-party cookie, and attach it to anything you submit. It helps us learn which content is useful.
- Carrier check lookups. The USDOT or MC number you enter is sent to our server, which queries public FMCSA datasets. We don't tie lookups to your identity, and we don't store the results against you.
- Usage analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and events without cookies and without building a profile of you.
- Bot protection. Forms and the carrier check use Vercel BotID to tell people from scripts.
How we use it
- To reply to you, set up a pilot, or send the report you asked for.
- To send the monthly report only after you confirm your subscription, with one-click unsubscribe in every email.
- To understand which pages and tools help people, in aggregate.
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising profiles.
Who processes it
- Vercel: hosting, analytics, and bot protection.
- Neon: our database, where form submissions are stored.
- Resend: email delivery.
- The U.S. Department of Transportation's open-data portal: receives the carrier numbers you look up.
Free tools
The factoring calculator, NOA generator, and bank-change checklist run in your browser. What you type there stays on your device (the checklist remembers your ticks in local storage) unless you ask us to email you a copy.
Retention and your choices
We keep submissions while they're useful for the conversation they started, and delete them on request. To see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, use the contact form and we'll act within 30 days. Unsubscribing from the report takes one click and is honored immediately.
Pilot customers
This policy covers the website only. If you pilot CarrierKYC, how carrier data is collected, stored, and deleted is agreed in writing before any carrier data is processed.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
