Scripted demo · Verified Payee

Verified Payee demo: onboard a carrier, then stop a bank-change scam

A two-minute, scripted walkthrough of how a small factor would use Verified Payee, which is in early access. Step 1 pulls real FMCSA data for any USDOT or MC number you enter. Every other provider response (ID, selfie, bank, UCC and the attack) is simulated and labeled that way.

The factor, Lantern Freight Capital, is fictional. You play the carrier on the phone and watch the factor's case file fill in beside it.

Real FMCSA data

Check the carrier's public record

Lantern Freight Capital, a fictional factor, has texted a carrier its branded onboarding link, and you're playing the carrier. Enter a real USDOT or MC number on the phone and the case file pulls live FMCSA records, each with its dataset and as-of date. No number handy? Use the sample carrier, which is fictional.

The product

How Verified Payee works

Public data can tell you which carrier someone names. It can't tell you whether the person applying runs that carrier, or whose bank account you're about to pay. Verified Payee closes both gaps, then keeps watching the payee.

Verified Payee is in early access. Small factors can request a free 60-day pilot. Not ready for software? The free bank-change verification checklist covers the manual version.

  1. The factor sends the carrier a link to an onboarding page with the factor's own branding.
  2. CarrierKYC checks the carrier's FMCSA authority, operating status and insurance.
  3. The applicant proves they are a real officer of the carrier: a government ID and a live selfie, with the name matched to the officers in FMCSA's census.
  4. The carrier proves the bank account is its own: bank authentication plus the account holder's identity, matched to the carrier's legal name.
  5. CarrierKYC checks UCC filings for a lien held by a prior factor.
  6. The factor gets a case file in which every fact has a source and a timestamp.
  7. When a "change my bank account" request arrives later, payment is held and both the person and the new account are re-verified before the next ACH goes out.

For factoring companies

Stop paying the wrong account.

CarrierKYC verifies that the person onboarding controls the carrier and that the bank account belongs to it, then re-verifies every remit-to change before the next ACH. Free 60-day pilot for small factors.
